The FCC has taken the expected move to reopen the record to allow the public to weigh-in on a study done about media cross-ownership. The Minority Media and Telecommunications Council commissioned study concluded the impact of allowing more cross-media combinations would be small enough that it wouldn’t justify either tightening or retaining the current limits. The FCC has set a comment deadline of July 22, with August 6 the deadline for reply comments.
